Hen Party Ideas

by jdurrant @ 2005-09-20 - 20:55:48

I aim to use this blog to improve my understanding of the hen party market, what are girls really looking for, how this is changing over time and specifically how to tailor services provided by The Pamper Party to this market.

Pamper Parties are quite a new concept. Massage and Beauty therapists visit the Hostess's home, set up couches and manicure tables and give the guests massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and other complementary therapies.

The website is www.thepamperparty.co.uk

The business was originally conceived as a way for mobile theraists to increase awareness of their services in their local region. As a sports massage therapist I was keen to find an innovative way of promoting my services. A client of mine suggested organising massage taster parties locally. The concept worked and using the wide reach of the internet, national interest followed.

The original focus was not the hen party market. However, pamper parties have proved to be so popular for hen parties that we have put considerable effort in maketing ourselves to hen parties.

The challenge now is to understand whether the 'Pamper Party' concept is known amoungst the female population. And whether a Pamper Party will one day be as synominous with hen parties as confetti is to weddings??

My hunch is that pamper parties will become an integral part of the hen party so one of the key things I hope to understand from this Pamper Blog is how best to use all marketing methods available to improve awareness of our hen party services...

As a male running a female oriented business I am particularly keen to get the female perspective... Have we got our website right? could we add additional services? How can we help to make the hen party organising process completely hassle free? Thoughts and comments appreciated...
